President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan Tuesday announced that he would pay personal attention to the formulation of youth policy and revival of student unions in AJK in the near future.
He was addressing a huge gathering of people at pattan as the chief guest in a policy dialogue organized by renowned Kashmiri NGO Center for Peace, Development and Reforms (CPDR) in collaboration with the British Council.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the need for more sensitization of youth regarding the Kashmir conflict and expressed his heartiest felicitations for the organizers who managed to organize and gather around 150 young people in tough weather conditions.
He stated that young people in AJK have huge potential and China-Pakistan EconomicCorridor (CPEC) is a new vista of economic opportunities for them.
While highlighting their imminent role, President advised students and young people to achieve excellence in their respective fields, become active and vibrant civic actors and develop skills to use modern Information Communication Tools in a more strategic and effective way.
While answering a question on the education system, he stated that he envisions the right person for a right job in universities besides minimal political interference and intended to initiate a new degree program compatible to the market needs and demand.
