The terrorist who wreaked havoc in central London during a sickening attack which left three people dead has now been named by police as Khalid Masood, 52, a British Born who was killed by armed police after he stabbed an unarmed cop to death outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday.
Khalid Masood drove a hire car into people on Westminster Bridge, and killed a mum on the school run and an American tourist celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary.
Khalid Masood also left 29 people injured – some of which have been described as suffering “catastrophic” injuries. Khalid Masood was born in Kent but most recently lived in the West Midlands.
Khalid Masood has been described as a married father-of-three who enjoyed bodybuilding. It is thought Masood hired a Hyundai 4×4 from a branch of Enterprise in Solihull which he drove to London and used to mow down innocent victims.
Masood, reportedly a teacher, and detectives believe he was most recently living in the West Midlands. He was also known by a number of aliases.
A total of 29 people were treated in hospital following the carnage, with five people remaining in a critical condition on Thursday evening – two of them with life-threatening injuries.
